He then got a big break while playing Adam Sandler's son is "Big Daddy" in 1999.Alan Cumming has offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of his missing chimpanzee former co-star, Tonka.The chimp was last seen in a cage at a now-defunct chimp breeding facility in Missouri.Back in 1997, Tonka starred alongside Alan and Rene Russo in "Buddy.""During the months we filmed together, baby Tonka and I became good friends, playing and grooming each other and just generally larking about," Alan said in a statement. "It's horrible to think he might be in a cage in a dark basement somewhere or have met some other fate, so I'm appealing to whoever knows what has become of him to please come forward and claim the reward."The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals organization has also put up a $10,000 reward.PETA once sued the facility over chimpanzee's living conditions, saying the animals were housed in "often filthy, virtually barren enclosures." In July, a court order granted PETA permission to retrieve Tonka and six other chimps from the facility.
