Moffat Mountain Rescue Team member, Colin Mitchell, has penned his first book in an effort to keep money flowing for the vital life-saving service.The Covid-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the volunteers’ biggest annual fundraiser on Saturday – the Charity Challenge of money-spinning walks which would have taken place in Wanlockhead.As well as a disappointment for participants, who take part to also raise thousands of pounds for their own worthy causes, it means MMRT is struggling to raise the £51,000 needed every year to keep the team operational.This money pays to run the team’s base at Moffat, ensure three vehicles are on the road and pay for lifesaving first aid, communication and technical equipment.And, there are the added
