Paisley dealer nabbed with cocaine haul worth almost £17k

A Paisley dealer who was involved in a “sophisticated operation” of selling cocaine and cannabis has been jailed.Christopher Jack’s flat was raided in November 2020, where cops founds cocaine with a street value of almost £17,000.Also found in Jack’s flat in the town’s Ladyburn Street, was £1500 worth of cannabis, two burner phones, a tick-book, drug paraphernalia and over £4000 in mixed notes.Jack, 34, admitted at Paisley Sheriff Court he was concerned in the supply of cocaine, a Class A drug on November 24, 2020, and cannabis, a Class B drug.Procurator fiscal Martine McGuigan told the court: ”Around 3.30pm on November 24, police on plain clothes mobile patrol observed a white Audi A3 travelling at speed in Ferguslie Park with black smoke coming from the back of it.“The car was stopped and when officers spoke with the driver they could smell a strong smell of cannabis.“The accused stated, ‘there’s weed in the back of the car.’“Police noted there was no material found on the accused but within a Nike bag in the back of the car where eight foil resealable bags containing a green herbal material.“Officers were granted a search warrant for the accused’s property and found items including; a zip lock bag containing green herbal material, a plastic tub containing a knotted bag of hard white substance in a black suitcase, an orange foil bag containing white powder in a black suitcase, digital scales, a black drawstring bag containing two wraps of white powder, seven plastic mixing bowls with white powder thereon, four polythene wraps of white powder, a Tupperware box with three polythene wraps in a pillowcase, mixing utensils, two Nokia burner phones and a red notebook with a tick-list of who owed money, found in the bedroom.“
