The list of places that have been classed as 'essential' and can remain open during the UK lockdown has been updated. Following the Prime Minister Boris Johnson's announcement on Monday of strict new measures to curb the spread of coronavirus where the public were ordered to stay home and only leave the house for a few specific reasons, a list of places that would have to close was devised with only certain exceptions.
Off-licences is among the latest to be included after pubs, restaurants, bars and clubs were forced to shut. This refers to licensed shops selling alcohol, including those in breweries.
Public toilets, cash points and car rental services were also the latest places to be added to the list. Mr Johnson had already listed
