Motorcyclist, 72, dies two months after horror crash

in Wigan. The fatal accident involving a car and a motorbike happened in Standish at around 5pm on May 30.The Honda motorcycle and Ford Fiesta collided on Almond Brook Road near the junction with Arbour Lane.

The motorcyclist, a 72-year-old man, was taken to hospital with leg injuries.Tragically, he died as a result of his injuries earlier this month on July 15.

An investigation is now underway, a spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said. The driver of the Fiesta stopped at the scene and no arrests have been made.

PC Sarah Seddon, of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Sadly, six weeks after this collision, the motorcyclist has died from his injuries.
