Officers visited the Hot Chilli restaurant, in Duscar Business Park, Egerton, on the afternoon of February 21, after a tip-off from a member of the public.

According to newly published documents, there were 65 adults and children present at the venue, along with 10 members of staff.

Fixed penalty notices of £200 were handed out to 37 adults - totalling £7,400. At the time, a spokesman for the restaurant told the Manchester Evening News that it had initially been arranged as a 'meeting' for six people and that they were
