Steven Gerrard

Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,

Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.

Rangers after closing their investigation.The Staggies veteran was at the centre of a row after an alleged comment during the 4-0 defeat at Dingwall.Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos had just been fouled by Iain Vigurs and there was an altercation with Gardyne.The County forward was booked for his part in the incident but several Rangers players and manager Steven Gerrard were left irate at the lack of a more severe punishment as they accused Gardyne of making an offensive remark during the ensuing row.After the match Gerrard would not disclose the nature of the comment, however he did say it "doesn't belong on a football pitch".The SFA's compliance officer is investigating claims of a "homophobic slur" made by the player which has not yet.
