Meghan Markle is due to launch her very own podcast with Spotify later this year, after her and Prince Harry signed a "multi-million pound" deal to produce content.The Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed an exclusive deal with the audio streaming service in 2020, reportedly worth around £18 million.It was announced at the time that the deal would include podcasts on the platform, through their "audio-first production company", which is called Archewell Audio.So far Meghan, 40, and Harry, 37, have only released only episode which featured them both and was released around Christmas 2020, shortly after the deal was struck.
As reported in The Mirror, it's been confirmed Meghan will launch a podcast series on Spotify later this summer, as reported by outlets including Hello magazine recently.
The couple's Archewell foundation opened up about their conversations with the streaming service in a statement issued to the media as part of the announcement.In a statement, their foundation said: "As we all continue to tackle the misinformation era, Archewell Audio has found it important to work with our partners at Spotify to ensure that the digital technologies so many of us use every day are rooted in strong principles of trust and safety."It further stated that they are "encouraged by ongoing conversations" that had been had with Spotify about such and have been "working closely" with the platform recently.This is said to have been towards policies, practices and strategies "meant to raise creator awareness, minimise the spread of misinformation and support transparency."It concluded: "As we move forward at Archewell Audio, we too are eager to be responsible stewards of an audio landscape that is well-resourced with quality,
