Man hospitalised after being knocked down 'by taxi' on busy Scots high street

Perth. The 39-year-old was rushed to Ninewells Hospital after being mowed down in a busy high street this afternoon. Mercy crews raced to Kinnoull Street after the alarm was raised at around 2pm today.

Ambulance crews and police swarmed the scene before removing the casualty.One eye witness told the Daily Record they saw the man being 'hit by a taxi'.The man is believed to be in a stable condition recovering from non life threatening injuries.Police are continuing their investigations into the incident.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 2pm on Friday, 26 March, to a report of a crash involving a pedestrian and a car."A 39-year-old man, the pedestrian, has been taken to Ninewells Hospital.”.
