Man airlifted to hospital after suspected heart attack while at sea near Scots island

A man was airlifted to hospital after having a suspected heart attack while on a tall ship at sea near the Inner Hebrides. Tobermory RNLI were alerted shortly after 10am on Sunday July 3 and The Elizabeth Fairlie Ramsey vessel was launched.

The all-weather lifeboat made its way to the 32-metre ship anchored to Ulva, off the Isle of Mull’s west coast. A Coastguard helicopter from Prestwick, Rescue 199, arrived shortly before the RNLI crew.
