Luke Bryan is returning to the American Idol stage tonight (April 18) after missing last week’s show because of a positive coronavirus test.

The 44-year-old country singer and Idol judge will make his first live appearance on the show tonight, according to Variety.

The outlet is now questioning the timeline of Luke‘s COVID-19 diagnosis because current protocols say that you need to test negative for at least two weeks before returning to work. “If that’s true, it leaves questions about the timeline of Bryan’s diagnosis and recovery, as it was only last Monday, April 12, that he announced on social media he had contracted the virus and would be unable to appear on that night’s episode,” Variety reported.
