When OK! is exclusively introduced to baby Carter, it’s clear that parents Lucy-Jo Hudson and her partner Lewis Devine have instantly adapted to life with a newborn.

But opening up about the birth less than two months on, the couple reveal it was a very scary ordeal. As Lucy-Jo, 36, struggled to become fully dilated, their son’s heart rate and oxygen levels began to drop. “In that moment you just want your baby to be okay,” she explained.

But despite the dramas, the couple – who have been together since 2018 after meeting in panto – insist it was love at first sight when they finally laid eyes on their baby. “It’s true what they say, it’s instant.
