Loraine James reveals new alias Whatever The Weather

Loraine James, the London-based experimental electronic producer behind last year's Reflection, has announced a brand new alias: Whatever The Weather.

Described as "ambient-minded" in a press release, Whatever The Weather will debut with its self-titled debut album on April 8 via Ghostly.

Each of the songs on the album are titled after different temperatures, and the project's lead single "17ºC" is out today. That's the kind of weather you'd want a light coat for, but the song James has created around it is a labyrinth of supercharged footwork, breakbeats, and a few shards of the soundtrack for the Wipeout Playstation games for good measure.

In the song's music video, streaming below, a young woman pops and locks as UFOs swirl in the galaxy above her, as one does.
