KILLING Eve season four has been panned as 'stale, past its best and out of ideas' in scathing reviews. The BBC drama is back for its fourth and final season with Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh once again playing Villanelle and Eve, respectively.

Season three ended with the pair agreeing it would be best for both of them to stay out of each other's lives for good, but season four quickly reveals they couldn't stick to it for long.

While the hunt for The Twelve continues, killer Villanelle has 'found religion' while Eve has a new toy boy after splitting from husband Niko.

But after watching the first couple of episodes, the reviews have not been kind to the show. The Times said the "once-great show has run out of ideas" and concluded its two star review by saying: "It’s beginning to kill us all." Digital Spy agreed, writing: "With only a handful of episodes left to go, you would think Killing Eve would pick up the pace, even the slightest bit, and bring us back to the action.
