The Deutsche Football Liga have given Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga permission to finish the season after July 30. The top two tiers of German football are set to resume this weekend following a delay of around two months due to coronavirus.
But should complications arise, Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga bosses won't need to worry about having to finish the season by the usual deadline of July 30.
The DFL have confirmed the current season can now run beyond that date if necessary despite the new season being scheduled to kick off on August 21 as things stand.
The deadline to finish the season, which is in place across the continent, has been a source of concern for organisers when planning a return to action.
