Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.
He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.
Kate Middleton and Prince William have lead members of the Royal Family arriving at Westminster Abbey for the annual Commonwealth Service on Monday 14 March.The Duchess of Cambridge, 40, looked a vision in blue as she entered Westminster Abbey alongside her beloved husband William, 39.
Kate was seen in a royal blue dress and matching coat with a black lapel. She teamed the ensemble with a matching hat and a pair of blue pointed court high heeled shoes.
Meanwhile, William wore a black suit with a light blue tie to match his wife's outfit. The couple walked alongside one another as they lead the Royal Family and other guests into Westminster Abbey, where the annual Commonwealth Service is being held.The event marks the first in-person gathering of the Commonwealth since the start of the pandemic.
It will also reflect the Queen's Platinum Jubilee year with a focus a "special focus" on the role the service plays in the communities across the Commonwealth.
