Johnny Depp
John Christopher Depp II (born June 9, 1963) is an American actor, singer, producer, and musician. He has been nominated for ten Golden Globe Awards, winning one for Best Actor for his performance of the title role in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2008), and has been nominated for three Academy Awards for Best Actor, among other accolades. He is regarded as one of the world's biggest film stars. Depp made his film debut in the 1984 film A Nightmare on Elm Street, before rising to prominence as a teen idol on the television series 21 Jump Street (1987–1990). He had a supporting role in Oliver Stone's 1986 war film Platoon and played the title character in the 1990 romantic fantasy Edward Scissorhands.

DESPERATE Johnny Depp became a laughing stock during his first major TV appearance in five years at the MTV VMAs, as he begged for a job.

The actor had his face superimposed on to the event’s Moonman mascot. He joked about how he was prepared to do anything for work, after his victory in the defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

At the ceremony in New Jersey on Sunday night, he said: “I just want you guys to know that I’m available for birthdays, bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs, weddings, wakes, any old thing you need.

Anything, you name it. “And you know what? I needed the work.” In a controversial move by producers following the allegations of domestic abuse against him, which he has always denied, LL Cool J’s song Mama Said Knock You Out was played straight after one of his skits.
