Johnny Depp
John Christopher Depp II (born June 9, 1963) is an American actor, singer, producer, and musician. He has been nominated for ten Golden Globe Awards, winning one for Best Actor for his performance of the title role in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2008), and has been nominated for three Academy Awards for Best Actor, among other accolades. He is regarded as one of the world's biggest film stars. Depp made his film debut in the 1984 film A Nightmare on Elm Street, before rising to prominence as a teen idol on the television series 21 Jump Street (1987–1990). He had a supporting role in Oliver Stone's 1986 war film Platoon and played the title character in the 1990 romantic fantasy Edward Scissorhands.

Johnny Depp is back whether you like it or not. Fans tuning in to the 2022 MTV VMAs on Sunday night were surprised with a few cameo appearances from the highly controversial star sprinkled throughout the show, but not everyone was happy about it.

In his surprise feature, the Pirates of the Caribbean star appeared via hologram as MTV’s Moonman, the iconic silver figure which winners are awarded with.

However, the 59-year-old seemed not only aware of his current damaged public image, but decided to make light of the less-than-ideal situation.

At one point, he joked: Related: Celebs Unlike Johnny’s Victory Post Following Reveal Of Unsealed Documents! While LL Cool J’s Mama Said Knock You Out could be heard playing in the background — likely alluding to his return to the limelight — don’t call it a comeback just yet!
