There’s never a good time to have a cruciate knee injury.But if you’re going to be out for six months it helps when football has been shut down completely.Jason Naismith suffered that fate in January while playing for Hibs against Dundee United in a Scottish Cup tie.Yet incredibly the on-loan defender could be back fit again for the semi-final IF the current campaign ever gets up and running again.

Naismith is full of sympathy for anyone who has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic that has brought the country to a standstill.

But the 25-year-old can’t disguise the fact that it has been a good time for him to recover from serious injury. The Peterborough United full-back is working hard on his own at home as well as doing physio sessions
