Assistant Chief Constable Chris Sykes said he 'understands' why people want to meet up with their friends now that some lockdown rules have eased, but he urged the public to be 'considerate to each other'.

He said people must comply with the rules over the upcoming Easter Bank Holiday weekend and only meet in groups of six or two households outdoors.
