Rachel Logan says her daughter Grace, 17, was suffering with acute appendicitis when she was told by a doctor to visit Tameside General Hospital at 6pm on Friday (July 2).

Grace then waited until 5.30am the following morning before finally being placed on a ward. She has since had an operation to remove her appendix.

Rachel, from Glossop, told the M.E.N: “It absolutely broke me that there was nothing I could do. “I understand what the staff and nurses are going through.
