The royal residences aren’t short of ghostly guests and happenings – even the queen herself has seen a few spine-chilling sights.
From a Poltergeist at Sandringham to an anxious King Henry VIII at Windsor, the palaces are castles are awash with nocturnal activity.There's even one which may be a little too close to home for William and Kate - with Prince Louis' Kensington Palace nursery said to be haunted.

In the 1970s, Princess Margaret’s housekeeper Mrs Mac saw a woman in Regency style and, when the top floor was staff accommodation, she and the butler were woken by a dreadful scream in the small hours, but were the only people in the building at the time.
Even Prince Louis’ nursery is said to be a hotbed of scary activity, with sightings of Peter the Wild Boy, who had a rare disease called Pitt Hopkins, characterised by severe facial abnormalities.
