Iceland supermarket chain has reported a huge spike in shoppers buying 'fakeaway' products over the last month. Shoppers seeking alternatives to Nandos, Greggs, KFC and McDonalds have flocked to the store to buy versions of popular fast food dishes.
Iceland sells official Greggs sausage rolls and bakes, as well as Nandos sauces and spices, and also offers alternatives to KFC's chicken and McDonalds and Burger King stickers.
The supermarket says top products being added to baskets online at Iceland.co.uk includes Iceland’s Breakfast Muffins with Sausage & Egg (£3.89) and Nando's Peri-Peri Bag & Bake (£1) and sauces as Brits pine after their favourite fast food.
