Hand gel sales limited by pharmacies including Boots due to coronavirus

Shops including Boots and LloydsPharmacy are limiting the sale of hand sanitisers following the outbreak of coronavirus. The chains said they have restricted sales to two hand sanitisers per customer to ensure as many people as possible have access to the products.

When the Manchester Evening News visited Boots on Market Street the shelves which usually stock hand gels and sanitisers were empty.

There was also a note informing customers that they could only buy two each. It said: "Hand sanitisers are currently limited to 2 per customer. "Help us to support as many people as possible to keep their hands clean this winter."
