Now the winter weather is becoming increasingly worse, drivers are more likely to be caught off-guard by the unpredictable conditions.
In a survey of 2,000 motorists, Halfords found out what drivers are most likely to find themselves in trouble for. More than a third (35 per cent) of those polled admitted to driving with the windscreen misted or iced up over the past 12 months - an offence carrying a £60 fine and three penalty points.
