Grangemouth have gone the extra mile for Mother's Day this year by raising cash to buy gifts and essentials for elderly members of the community.Central Girls Academy u17s undertook a virtual run from Lands End to John O’ Groats, which is a whopping 603 miles, but impressively, they managed to cover at total of 790 miles.Because of lockdown, the girls haven't be able to get out and kick a ball together, and their coaches knew they had to do something to keep them all fit.They've managed to raise almost £600, with the cash being donated to Kersiebank Community Project.It provides food banks for those most in need.And with Mother's Day this Sunday, the girls have decided to put some of the cash towards buying gifts for some mum's in the.
