Grandmother says she charges daughter nearly £10 per hour to look after grandson

dailyrecord.co.ukA grandmother who looks after her daughter’s son has confessed to charging her for looking after the child. The granny, who wishes to remain anonymous, has taken to the internet to reveal how much she earns from taking money from her daughter to look after her grandson.
For two to three days a week the granny watches the child for around seven to eight hours per day, which will cost the mum £9.05 per hour.
The grandparent has this week argued that she would lose money herself if she didn’t charge her daughter for babysitting. For many new parents finding childcare for a reasonable price can prove incredibly difficult, with many parents deciding not to go back to work after giving birth as it’s not worth it.
