Grandma celebrating 75th birthday on VE Day can't go outside in lockdown - so her family did something very special

She was born on VE Day 75 years ago - and today should have marked a large, special celebration. Kathleen Price's historic birthday means that every year, she would go out and celebrate with her husband Lesley, children and grandchildren.

Her parents even gave her the middle name Veronica to celebrate her birth on the morning of Victory in Europe Day, 1945. But this year is very different.

Kathleen has COPD, and has not been able to leave the house for six and a half weeks, after being placed on the government's shielding list.

Instead of letting her miss such an important milestone, her devoted family decided to bring the party to her - whilst keeping a safe distance.
