The former couple have been locked in a bitter lawsuit as the Pirates of the Caribbean star is suing Amber for $50 million for allegedly defaming him in an article for The Washington Post in 2018 where she said she was a victim of domestic abuse.Depp isn’t mentioned by name in the op-ed, but his legal team has argued that it contains a “clear implication that Mr Depp is a domestic abuser”, which it says is “categorically and demonstrably false”.
