EAMONN Holmes has slammed fireworks saying they terrifying his dog - and said they should be banned outside certain times. The broadcaster, 61, and his wife Ruth Langsford adopted their Collie-cross Maggie from the Dog's Trust 11 years ago.
And the This Morning star loves the family pooch so much that he commissioned a life-sized bronze statue of her last year for their home.
Now with Guy Fawkes Night fast approaching, Eamonn has urged the public to rethink using fireworks and considered the effect the noise has on our pets.
Writing in Best magazine, the TV star shared a photo of their beloved Maggie responding to a firework and admitted the noise "scares her witless".
