Extraordinary "zombie" dance shuts down Deansgate for Manchester International Festival opening event

The art world premiere saw 150 volunteers from all walks of life in Greater Manchester join trained dancers in the dance event Sea Change on Thursday night.

The free event allowed ticketholders to walk along Deansgate from the Hilton Tower as the "human jigsaw" of dancers contorted into strange motions and made eerie wails in a sort of tag team of increasingly bizarre movement.
