evoke.ieAfter questions being asked as to whether or not the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest would be taking place this year or not, we finally have our answer.
The team posted an update on St Patrick’s Day saying that a decision hadn’t been made at the time but that more information would follow.
They wrote: ‘We know you are anxiously waiting for news about the future of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. ‘With a constantly changing situation regarding coronavirus and a large number of people to consult, every important element needs to be taken into consideration. ‘Please bear with us.
We hope to have more information shortly.’ Now, it’s been confirmed that the show has been cancelled and will not take place in 2020.
