EU citizens from West Lothian submit applications to remain in the UK after Brexit

Sign up to the weekly West Lothian Courier newsletter for the latest West Lothian news and sport.It has been revealed 4000 Polish people in West Lothian have applied to remain in the UK after Brexit.The data on applications to the European Union Settlement Scheme (EUSS) was released by the Home Office on August 27.It shows that in the county there were also 690 applications from Romanians, 450 from people from Latvia, 370 from Hungarians and 300 applications from Italians.The 7660 people who applied to the scheme from all nationalities in West Lothian meant the county recieved the seventh highest applications among the local authorities in Scotland.Edinburgh was highest with 44,740, Glasgow second with 31,230 and Aberdeen was third with.
