Emmerdale’s Matthew Wolfenden returns to soap as David Metcalfe with new hair transformation

EMMERDALE stars Matthew Wolfenden and Isabel Hodgins returned to the ITV soap last night. Matthew, 41, who plays David Metcalfe, and Isabel, 28, who plays his lover Victoria Sugden, made a triumphant return with fans reacting in their droves on Twitter.

One said: "Vic and David are so adorable together" Another declared: "loved seeing David and Victoria back on screen in tonight’s #Emmerdale, great stuff" Matthew sported a shock of newly highlighted hair, and many said he resembled England football legend Becks.

Another raved: "David trying to copy David Beckham! Even though Becks is waaayyyyyy hotter!" One more said: "Seems so weird seeing David with blond hair!" The pair had been seen at the studios in Leeds in December.
