Elton John and Britney Spears embrace Number 1 on the Official Trending Chart with Hold Me Closer

The brand new track features the new first new vocal from Britney since 2016's Glory album, and sees her return to the spotlight after years of personal and legal troubles, and a welcome return it is for one of our undeniable, living pop legends.
Hold Me Closer - much like the Dua Lipa collaboration Cold Heart before it - is a composite of several classic Elton tracks; namely Tiny Dancer, The One and Don't Go Breaking My Heart.
While Britney's vocals were produced by Watt (Miley Cyrus, Rita Ora) this year, Elton's are taken from the original recordings, although he did play piano on the track.
Currently, Hold Me Closer is in a three-way battle for Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart this week. It's right now at Number 3, but a small margin of less than 1,200 copies currently seperate it from Eliza Rose's B.O.T.A (Baddest Of Them All) and current eight-week Number 1 titan Afraid To Feel by LF SYSTEM.
