EASTENDERS have released a first look at Charlie Brooks as she makes an explosive comeback in the role of scheming Janine Butcher.

The BBC One soap unveiled the clip on their social media channel and teased that, while Summer may be over, Walford is only just starting to heat up!

The actress, 40, can be seen speeding into Walford for the first time since 2014. Wearing a green coat and a white high-collared shirt with a black bow on the front, Janine looks set to cause chaos as she looks straight ahead with a sinister stare.

Meanwhile, the residents of Walford go about their daily lives in locations including the Queen Vic, the launderette and the cafe.
