A cyclist suffered a broken pelvis after being hit by a car in Renfrew last night.The 41-year-old man was travelling on Inchinnan Road in the town shortly after 8.30pm when he was knocked off his bike by the blue Audi A3.Police and an ambulance raced to the scene and took the man to the hospital for treatment to his injuries.Don't miss the latest headlines from around Renfrewshire.

It's understood he is remains in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where is recovering from a suspected broken pelvis and other minor injuries.Officers have confirmed there was no criminality involved in the incident, with no action being taken against the 51-year-old driver.A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Officers attended at a collision between a vehicle and a pedal bike on Inchinnan Road, Renfrew on Monday, March 14."The injured cyclist was taken to hospital for treatment and officers carried out enquiries into the circumstances."No criminality was involved and officers concluded their enquiries."
