Sally's character, Sally Metcalfe, is currently embroiled in the plot involving Yasmeen (Shelley King) and Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) as she is growing increasingly suspicious of her father-in-law Geoff.
Coronation Street's Yasmeen is currently in prison charged with attempted murder after finally defending herself against Geoff's relentless abuse.
And 57-year-old actress Sally has admitted the current storyline reminds her of when she filmed scenes during the 1990's with her abusive partner Greg Kelly.
