CORONATION Street's Maureen Lipman says the older cast will return to filming in September. Due to the coronavirus the soap's elderly cast members have been kept away from the set, despite the recent resumption of filming with social distancing in place.
Speaking to Lorraine Kelly on Good Morning Britain yesterday, the actress opened up on the difficulty for actors who haven't been able to work due to the lockdown and expects to be back on set later in the year.
She explained: "There is an element now of people, particularly in my business, you used to be able to waitress when you weren't working but now there's nowhere to waitress, so it is tough," she said via video call.
