Cops probing Greenock drive-by shooting launch online portal in bid to track down thugs

An online portal has been set up by police in a bid to track down those responsible for a drive-by shooting in Greenock. Detectives probing the shooting on Brachelston Street around 6pm on Tuesday, May 12 are urging members of the public to submit any information which could help their manhunt.

A 37-year-old man was walking on the road when a weapon was fired at him from a  car. He managed to evade the bullets by jumping behind other vehicles.

He was targeted by a thug who fired from a white SUV, before the driver sped off in the direction of Greenock town centre.The white Hyundai Tuscan was found burnt out at Mallard Crescent around 3.45am on Wednesday 13 May.But now officers hope their Major Incident Public Portal (MIPP) will help them
