Chris Burke slams SPFL as Kilmarnock winger insists fixture appeal uncertainty contributed to form slump

Kilmarnock 's form slump as he welcomed their appeal victory. The Ayrshire club had a match with Motherwell called off in October after a Covid outbreak in the squad.

The SPFL determined that Killie had broken protocol by not observing proper distancing on the team bus and at a pre-match meal in the Hilton Hotel.

They therefore awarded the match to Motherwell as well as hitting the Rugby Park outfit with a £40,000 suspended fine. Killie, along with St Mirren who had been given the same sanction for two postponed games, appeal and on Friday the verdict was overturned at Hampden.

A £20,000 fine with £10,000 suspended but the Kilmarnock supporters' trust have intimated that they'll ask members to pay it out of funds.And Burke is delighted that.
