CCTV shows Father Christmas being 'abducted' as church issues plea for "someone with a conscience" to bring him home

A church in Stockport has put out a CCTV appeal after a Santa Clause decoration was 'abducted'. The decoration, which sat in the porchway of St George's Church on Buxton Road, was stolen on Sunday night (December 12), the church said.

After a similar Father Christmas decoration was stolen last year, his feet had been fastened together to prevent the same thing happening again.

But the church said someone cut the cable ties and made off with Santa while a recital was taking place inside.
