Joe Otterson TV ReporterCate Blanchett and her Dirty Films production company have signed a first-look TV deal with FX Productions.Dirty Films is headed by Blanchett along with Andrew Upton and Coco Francini.

News of the deal comes after Blanchett and Francini served as executive producers on the FX on Hulu limited series “Mrs. America,” in which Blanchett starred as Phyllis Schlafly.

The agreement covers all scripted and unscripted programming for FX, as well as potentially other divisions of Walt Disney Television.“Cate Blanchett is a legendary talent and it was little surprise that her first role as an Executive Producer and star in an American television program – ‘Mrs.
