Ever since she married Prince Charles in 2005, Camilla has become known globally as the Duchess of Cornwall but she actually has another grand title which she never uses.
It was confirmed on Charles and Camilla's wedding day that moving forward she would go by HRH The Duchess of Cornwall, and in the same statement, it was said that she would go by Princess Consort when her husband becomes king.
As Charles, 73, is the Prince of Wales, Camilla, 75, technically gets the title of Princess of Wales, yet she has never used this title, which was last used by Charles' late wife Princess Diana.
It is believed that Camilla opted not to use the title out of respect for Diana, who died in 1997, and to avoid any backlash from the public who previously had unfavourable opinions about Camilla. "Camilla is HRH The Princess of Wales, but she is styled as HRH The Duchess of Cornwall.
