Burst main leaves 'thousands' of Airdrie residents without water

iOS - Android A Scottish water spokesperson said: "Some properties in parts of Airdrie are experiencing a loss of normal water supply, low water pressure or discoloured water following a burst water main." Our engineers have been investigating this emergency issue and are working hard to locate the burst to allow repairs to be carried.

In an attempt to minimise the impact of the burst on customers water supplies we are redirecting water from other areas to restore normal water supply.

We are also using water tankers to feed additional water into the network for customers."The national supplier said that anyone experiencing discoloured water should run the cold tap in their kitchen slowly until the water runs clear.
