BRENDAN Fraser broke down in tears after the London Film Festival audience gave his movie The Whale a standing ovation last night.

The actor, 53 - who plays Charlie in the psychological drama film - got very emotional as he embraced the cheers from viewers on stage after the movie had finished.

Brendan received a five minute ovation for the film after it was screened at the Royal Festival Hall in the Southbank Centre on Tuesday night.

In a clip videoed by one of the audience members, he can be seen bowing to the crowd, and then shortly joined on stage by director Darren Aronofsky and screenwriter Samuel D.
