It happened on Huddersfield Road in Stalybridge at around 6:20pm on Saturday evening. Police say they were called to reports of a collision between a car and a motorcycle.
Emergency services including police and paramedics attended. Locals said the air ambulance was also seen landing nearby. A 15 year-old boy who was a pillion passenger on the motorbike was taken to hospital with serious injuries a Greater Manchester Police (GMP) spokesman said.
