Bolton ended the game with 10 men for the second match in a row when midfielder Williams was shown a straight red card by referee Trevor Kettle for a challenge on Tom Pett.A red card without a prior booking in a match carries a suspension of three games.

Based on what he saw in real time, Evatt said he would appeal the decision, but confirmed he would like to see the decision again before deciding for sure whether to do so or not.
