THE widow of BBC star Rachael Bland has announced he is expecting twins with his new wife. Steve Bland is set to welcome twins four years after Rachael's death, with his second wife Amy.

The 41-year-old married the advanced nurse practitioner in August 2019, just a few months after meeting her at a Manchester cancer conference in 2019.

Rachael tragically passed away the year before after a two year battle with breast cancer, leaving behind her son Freddie. The 40-year-old mum died in the early hours of September 5 2018, with her "crushed" close family by her side.

After her tragic death, Steve began hosting the You, Me and the Big C podcast alongside Sun columnist, Deborah James who also sadly passed away from bowel cancer in June this year.
