Launched only four years ago, the international arm of local broadcaster Yes is on a roll. Not only does it cut remake rights around the world on its biggest properties, but it’s also seeing a growing appetite for the original versions of its shows.Shtisel, for example, first aired locally in 2013, but has taken off globally thanks to a Netflix deal.
In June, the company launched period drama The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem—its biggest investment to date, and one of Israel’s biggest ever series.
